The University of West Georgia Culture Lab, formerly known as the School of the Arts, marks a new chapter in 沙巴官网’s dedication to fostering creativity and building a united arts culture both on campus and in the surrounding communities.

“The new name for the 沙巴官网 Culture Lab truly still reflects our original mission: delivering high-level programming and events that enhance the quality of life on campus and in our communities,” said Dr. Chad Davidson, 沙巴官网’s executive director of global engagements and cultural programming. “Our aim is to create spaces in which culture is synthesized and nurtured.”

Davidson emphasized that the “lab” signifies a site of experimentation for the good of all. In the case of the 沙巴官网 Culture Lab, he said that it is devoted to “serving as a catalyst for cultural dialogue and artistic exploration across the region.”

Though the 沙巴官网 Culture Lab will maintain the tradition of bringing experts and nationally recognized artists to contribute to its programs – such as The Other Night School, the Michael and Andrea Stone Visiting Artist Series, Blackwell Prize portfolio, the Sewell Reading Series and more – it will also expand its operations into robust partnerships with local businesses and organizations.

“The 沙巴官网 Culture Lab represents a step forward in our devotion to enriching the cultural landscape of 沙巴官网,” said Brandy Barker, chief creative officer and assistant vice president for university advancement. “By reimagining these efforts under the 沙巴官网 Culture Lab name, we are able to preserve the arts and expand their impact, ensuring that creativity and innovation continue to thrive within our community.”
