All university employees and students are assigned a 沙巴官网 ID which is made up of an account name (also known as username) and a password. The 沙巴官网 ID is used to authenticate a user’s identity and based on that identity, grant or deny access to a service, application, or resource.
Depending on the network resource, for your username you may have to enter only your username (e.g. astudent1) or your full email address (e.g. astudent1@my.westga.edu). Look carefully at the directions of the resource you’re accessing to determine whether you need to use only your username or your email address (See the chart under Network Resources to learn what the requirements are for each resource).
The initial password for your 沙巴官网 ID is your Banweb Reset PIN. For the security of your account and to enable external access to your Google Email account, you are highly encouraged to change this password as soon as possible via our 沙巴官网 ID Self-Service Tool.
The 沙巴官网 ID Self-Service Tool is available from any Internet connected device with a modern browser by visiting http://selfservice.westga.edu and is used to manage the password for your 沙巴官网 ID. Your 沙巴官网 ID password must be changed at least once every 365 days. The password also must meet our minimum password requirements. These requirements are:
- Minimum of 12 characters in length
- Must contain at least one lowercase letter
- Must contain at least one uppercase letter
- Must contain at least one number
- Must contain at least one special character
- Cannot contain parts of your first name, last name, or username
沙巴官网 is transitioning to using one account for employees and students to access each of the network resources one may need. We are in the planning stages of configuring my沙巴官网 to use the 沙巴官网 ID for accessing my沙巴官网. Until that occurs, you will need to continue to use your my沙巴官网 account and password. We will notify you when the transition to using your 沙巴官网 ID to access my沙巴官网 occurs.
Your Banweb Reset PIN is the last 2 digits of your birth year and the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. If you are an International Student, your Banweb Reset PIN is the last 2 digits of your birth year and the last 4 digits of your 沙巴官网 Student ID Number (917 number)
